My name is Thomas Volscho, I am an associate professor of sociology at the College of Staten Island (CUNY) in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology.

My research areas include social stratification, inequality, and elite criminology.  My research methods have involved quantitative techniques including some advanced time-series methods. In more recent studies of elite deviance and crime, I use qualitative methods, including investigative journalistic techniques, forensic analyses of legal documents, and freedom of information and public records practices.

I am currently drafting a book manuscript, The Epstein-Nygard Nexus, on organized sexual abuse schemes led by two wealthy men who have been prosecuted by the U.S. Department of Justice.
